Bob Spring is a prolific Swiss-Italo-American singer-songwriter who has defined his own sub-genre of "Dark Country" and "Junk Blues." After a decade fronting the hard rock band Backwash (2000–2010), Spring transitioned to a solo career characterized by an immense output of over 900 original songs that blend Americana and alternative country with a gritty, melancholic edge.
Known for prioritizing the "essence of the song" over polished production, he has released a steady stream of acclaimed projects both as a soloist and with his band, The Calling Sirens. Most recently in 2025, he released an ambitious EP trilogy under the Soulpunx Entertainment label—titled Twenty One, Forty Two, and Eighty Four—which showcases his ability to navigate raw storytelling and atmospheric soundscapes. This prolific period also saw him professionalizing his international reach by collaborating with legendary Nashville producer Ken Coomer (Wilco) to bridge his Swiss roots with authentic Tennessee production.
